Spec Pipeline Dashboard
1. Overview
The Spec Pipeline Dashboard shows you exactly where your project spec stands in the generation process - from initial brief to final deliverable. Watch your spec move through seven stages in real time, view completed documents at each stage, and respond when the system needs your input. No guessing, no waiting in the dark - just clear visibility into what’s happening with your spec right now.2. Step-by-Step Guide
Accessing the Pipeline Dashboard:- After submitting your brief - The system automatically redirects you to the Pipeline Dashboard for your project. You’ll see a visual representation of all seven pipeline stages: BRS → FRS → TRS → Sherpa Review → FSD → TSD → Final Spec.
- From your job list - Click any project that’s currently processing to navigate directly to its Pipeline Dashboard. Projects still in the pipeline show a status summary in your job list.
- Watch the active stage - The current stage appears with distinct visual treatment. The dashboard updates automatically without refreshing as your spec moves through stages.
- Check completion status - Completed stages display a completion indicator and timestamp. Hover over any stage to see a brief description of what it produces.
- View stage outputs - Click any completed stage to view the generated document. Scroll through the full content with proper formatting. Switch between stages to compare different outputs.
- Review requested changes - When Sherpa review requests changes, you’ll see a prominent action-required notification on the dashboard. Click to view specific feedback items with clear explanations.
- Submit your response - Enter text feedback or comments for each item the Sherpa identified. When ready, confirm submission. The system automatically re-runs relevant pipeline stages from the point where changes were needed.
- Monitor re-processing - Watch as the pipeline processes your feedback. If Sherpa approves, the pipeline continues automatically to the next stage.
- Get completion notification - When the pipeline reaches “Spec Ready,” you’ll see a prominent completion message with a clear call-to-action to review your final spec.
- Navigate to your spec - Click through from the completion state to access your final specification document.
3. Common Questions
Q: How long does the pipeline take to complete?A: Each project varies based on complexity. You’ll see time elapsed for the current stage on the dashboard. Most stages complete within minutes, though Sherpa review may take longer if human review is needed. Q: What happens if a stage fails?
A: The dashboard displays a clear error state with the failure reason and guidance on next steps. You can provide additional feedback to address the issue, or contact support if the problem persists. Q: Can I leave the page while my spec is processing?
A: Yes. The pipeline continues running in the background. Return through your job list anytime to check progress. If the pipeline completes while you’re away, you’ll see an indicator that your spec is ready when you return. Q: What if I submit feedback but the re-run also fails?
A: You’ll see the new failure state with an option to provide additional feedback or contact support. Each iteration helps the system better understand your requirements. Q: Can I view documents from earlier stages after the pipeline completes?
A: Yes. All completed stage documents remain accessible. Click any stage to view its output, even after the full pipeline finishes.
4. Troubleshooting
Issue: Dashboard not updating automaticallyCheck your connection. The dashboard handles connectivity interruptions gracefully and syncs state when you reconnect. Refresh the page if updates don’t resume within 30 seconds of reconnecting. Issue: Can’t view a stage document
Ensure the stage has completed. Pending or in-progress stages show a message indicating the document isn’t yet available. If a completed stage won’t load, refresh the page and try again. Issue: Sherpa review seems stuck
If a stage shows no progress for an extended period, you’ll see a timeout indicator with options to retry or contact support. Very complex projects may require more processing time. Issue: Lost track of which project I’m viewing
The dashboard displays your project name and details. Return to your job list to see all projects and their current stages, then click the specific project you want to monitor.
