Overview

Your project brief gets sharper through intelligent AI questions and expert guidance. The system scores your brief against seven key dimensions, identifies gaps, and connects you with an AI Sherpa when needed. You’ll see your feasibility score climb in real time as you answer targeted questions and refine your vision. Once you hit 75%, your brief automatically advances to expert matching.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Submit your project through the Wizard (/wizard). Fill out the basic project information and click submit. The system processes your submission within 2 minutes.
  2. Review your feasibility score. Navigate to the Collaborative Workspace (/collaborativeworkspace) to see your score (0-100%). If you’re below 75%, you’ll see a breakdown of seven dimensions: Problem Statement, Solution Overview, Market Validation, Technical Approach, Execution Plan, Success Metrics, and Constraints/Risks.
  3. Click on any weak dimension (scoring below 70%). The system explains what information is missing or unclear in that area.
  4. Answer AI-generated questions. The system presents 3-5 prioritized questions targeting your weakest areas. Answer each question in the workspace. Your brief updates automatically as you respond, and the feasibility score recalculates within 30 seconds.
  5. Work with your AI Sherpa (if assigned). When your brief stalls below 75% after multiple questions, an AI Sherpa joins your workspace. You’ll see “AI Sherpa [Name] has joined your workspace” at the top of the screen. The Sherpa can suggest edits (you’ll see “Accept” or “Discuss” buttons), ask clarifying questions via chat, and update your brief directly.
  6. Upload supporting documents. Drag and drop wireframes (PDF), mockups (PNG/JPEG), or spreadsheets (XLSX) into the workspace. The AI analyzes uploaded files within 30 seconds and extracts structured information. You’ll see a message like “I found competitor pricing data - added to Market Validation section (+5% score).”
  7. Watch your score improve. Each update - whether from your answers, Sherpa edits, or document uploads - triggers a recalculation. You receive email notifications when your score jumps significantly.
  8. Celebrate the 75% milestone. When you cross 75%, the workspace displays confetti animation and a success banner: “Congrats! Your brief is ready.” The system automatically marks your session complete and transitions your job to “SPEC_GENERATION” status. Expert matching begins within 24-48 hours.

Common Questions

What happens if I can’t reach 75% after answering many questions? The AI stops at 20 questions to prevent fatigue. Your Sherpa reviews the situation and decides next steps: approving below 75% with justification, scheduling a discovery call, or suggesting requirement adjustments. You’ll receive transparent communication about any escalation. Can I edit my brief directly, or do I have to answer questions? You can edit directly. Both you and your Sherpa can make real-time edits to the brief, similar to Google Docs. You’ll see each other’s cursor positions and typing indicators. Every edit triggers a score recalculation. However, deleting important information may lower your score, and you’ll see a warning: “Removing this weakens your Market Validation score.” What if my Sherpa and I edit the same section simultaneously? The system uses collaborative editing technology to merge changes automatically at the character level. You’ll see your Sherpa’s cursor position in real time. If an irreconcilable conflict occurs (rare), the system preserves both versions with full edit history for review. How do I know my Sherpa is working on my brief? You receive email notifications when your Sherpa posts messages or makes suggestions. If you’re active in the workspace, you see real-time updates immediately. You can also request a video call by clicking “Request Call” in the workspace - your Sherpa receives a notification with a calendar link. What happens if I abandon the refinement process? After 3 days of inactivity, you receive a reminder email. After 7 days, your Sherpa sends personalized outreach via email or WhatsApp (if you opted in). After 14 days, the system pauses your collaboration session. Your brief stays in “NEEDS_REFINEMENT” status and doesn’t auto-progress. You can resume anytime.

Troubleshooting

My score decreased after I made an edit You may have deleted critical information. Check the warning message that appeared: “Warning: Removing this weakens your [Dimension Name] score.” Review your edit history (visible in the workspace) and consider reverting the change. Your Sherpa receives a notification when scores drop and can help recover lost ground. I uploaded a document but nothing happened Check the file format (PDF, PNG, JPEG, XLSX only) and size (maximum 10MB per file). If the upload succeeded but no information was extracted, the AI may not have found structured data in your document. Your Sherpa can manually review the file and add relevant details to your brief. I haven’t heard from my Sherpa in several days Navigate to Channel Preferences (/privacypreferences) and verify your notification settings. Your Sherpa may have posted messages you didn’t see. If the workspace shows no recent activity, use the chat interface to ping your Sherpa directly. Sherpas are assigned within 5 minutes of session creation based on expertise matching. The workspace isn’t loading or showing my latest changes Refresh your browser. The system uses real-time sync, but network issues can cause delays. Check your internet connection. If problems persist, your session data is preserved - contact support through the platform. Specification Generation - Once your brief reaches 75%, the system automatically generates a detailed specification document. This converts your refined brief into technical requirements, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria. Check Spec Review (/specreview) to see the generated specification. Expert Matching - After brief completion, the matchmaking algorithm finds experts whose skills align with your project needs. Review matched experts in the Marketplace (/marketplace) or Sherpa Dashboard (/sherpadashboard). The system considers your brief’s technical approach and execution plan when scoring expert fit. Data Room - Upload and organize all project documents in your Data Room (/dataroomlist). Documents uploaded during brief refinement automatically transfer to your Data Room. The AI analyzes your full document library to identify gaps and suggest missing assets as your project progresses.
