SupaSherpa is your always-on AI assistant that guides you through every stage of your venture journey. Instead of hunting through dashboards to understand where you are, what’s working, and what to do next, SupaSherpa delivers personalized guidance in natural language - tracking your momentum, surfacing your #1 priority action, and showing you exactly how much time and budget you’ve saved versus conventional approaches. Every interaction follows a four-beat rhythm: where you are on the trail, your current momentum, your next critical action, and the win you’ve banked.

2. Step-by-Step Guide

Starting a conversation with SupaSherpa
  1. Navigate to the Supa Sherpa page (/supasherpa) from your dashboard
  2. You’ll see a chat interface with your conversation history (if you’ve used SupaSherpa before)
  3. Type a natural language question like “Where am I in my journey?” or “What should I do next?”
  4. SupaSherpa processes your question against your live platform data - your brief, confidence scores, vault completion, expert allocations, and journey checkpoints
  5. Within 5-15 seconds, you receive a response that includes:
    • The Route: Your current journey stage and ICP pathway
    • Your Position: A momentum score (0-100) showing whether you’re Accelerating, Cruising, Drifting, or Stalled
    • The Next Cairn: Your single most important action right now, with a direct link to complete it
    • The Win: What you’ve saved in time and budget compared to conventional approaches
  6. Continue the conversation by asking follow-up questions or requesting clarification
  7. All messages persist in your conversation history - reload the page anytime to pick up where you left off
Understanding your momentum score
  1. Ask SupaSherpa “How am I doing?” or “Show me my momentum”
  2. Your momentum score appears as a number from 0-100, calculated from six weighted dimensions:
    • Brief Completeness (20%): How complete and confident your brief is
    • Vault Completeness (20%): How much of your data room you’ve filled
    • Team Engagement (15%): Whether you have experts allocated and active
    • Milestone Velocity (15%): How quickly you’re hitting journey checkpoints
    • Confidence Trend (15%): Whether your brief confidence is improving
    • Activity Consistency (15%): How recently and regularly you engage with the platform
  3. SupaSherpa interprets your score:
    • 75-100 = Accelerating: Clear trail, strong tailwind - you’re building momentum
    • 50-74 = Cruising: Steady progress, good pace - maintain your rhythm
    • 25-49 = Drifting: Cloud cover, slowing down - time to refocus
    • 0-24 = Stalled: Trail lost, no movement - urgent action required
  4. For Drifting or Stalled states, SupaSherpa prescribes a specific recovery action
Acting on your #1 next action
  1. Every SupaSherpa response ends with your #1 next action - the single most critical thing on your path to the next milestone
  2. The action includes:
    • A priority level (CRITICAL, HIGH, or MEDIUM)
    • A clear title and description
    • Estimated time to complete
    • A direct action link (click to go straight to the relevant page)
  3. SupaSherpa follows a decision tree to identify your #1 action:
    • If you have no brief: “Create your brief” (CRITICAL)
    • If your brief confidence is below 50%: “Improve your brief” (CRITICAL)
    • If you have no vault: “Start your data room” (HIGH)
    • If your vault is below 40% complete: “Build your data room” (HIGH)
    • If you’re ready for expert matching: “Request expert matching” (HIGH)
    • If you have a pending checkpoint: “Complete your checkpoint” (MEDIUM)
    • Otherwise: “Review your momentum and optimize” (MEDIUM)
  4. Click the action link to navigate directly to the page where you complete that action
Viewing your savings dashboard
  1. Ask SupaSherpa “What have I saved?” or “Show me my savings”
  2. You’ll see a running total of time saved (in weeks) and budget saved (in ZAR) compared to conventional approaches
  3. Savings are calculated conservatively from completed platform milestones:
    • Brief Enhancement: R75K-R150K saved, 2-4 weeks saved (versus hiring a strategy consultant)
    • Spec Generation: Per-document savings based on complexity
    • Expert Matching: R30K-R60K saved (versus recruiting fees)
    • Data Room Setup: R50K-R100K saved (versus manual document prep)
    • Confidence Assessment: R25K-R50K saved (versus external validation)
  4. Each milestone appears with its completion date - your savings only increase, never decrease
  5. Use this data to justify your platform investment to stakeholders or co-founders
Getting daily morning briefings
  1. Navigate to Privacy Preferences (/privacypreferences) and ensure your notification preferences allow morning briefings
  2. Every morning at 06:00 SAST, SupaSherpa generates a briefing for users with active journeys
  3. You receive a notification: “Your Morning Briefing is Ready”
  4. Click the notification or ask SupaSherpa “Show me today’s briefing”
  5. The briefing includes:
    • Your current momentum score with trail metaphor
    • Key insights from yesterday’s activity
    • Your running savings total
    • Your #1 action for today
  6. Briefings are stored in your history - you can review past briefings by asking “Show me last week’s briefings”
Asking about your team
  1. Ask SupaSherpa “Who’s on my team?” or “Show me my team roster”
  2. You’ll see every person working on your project:
    • Your assigned Human-Sherpa (if you have one)
    • All allocated experts with their roles, status, and current activity
    • Total team member count
  3. If you have no team members yet, SupaSherpa explains that your journey stage may not require a team and suggests your next step
  4. Ask follow-up questions like “What is [expert name] working on?” to get specific status updates

3. Common Questions

Q: What happens if I ask SupaSherpa a question it can’t answer? A: SupaSherpa is scoped to your platform journey and venture data. If you ask a question outside this scope (like legal advice, tax strategy, or questions about other users’ data), it will politely redirect you and suggest a question it can help with. It will never fabricate data or provide advice outside its guardrails. Q: How does SupaSherpa know what stage I’m in if I haven’t created a brief yet? A: SupaSherpa gracefully handles empty states. If you have no journey, no brief, and no vault, it welcomes you with an onboarding message and directs you to start the briefing wizard as your #1 action. You won’t see an error - you’ll see guidance. Q: Can I send multiple messages before the first response arrives? A: Yes. Each message is queued and processed sequentially to maintain conversation coherence. You won’t lose any messages, but responses arrive in the order you sent your questions. Q: Why is my momentum score low even though I just completed a milestone? A: Momentum is calculated across six dimensions. If one dimension (like Activity Consistency) is low because you haven’t logged in for two weeks, it pulls your overall score down even if other dimensions are strong. Check the dimension breakdown to see which area needs attention. Q: How does SupaSherpa decide my #1 next action if I have multiple things pending? A: SupaSherpa follows a priority decision tree. Critical actions (no brief, brief confidence below 50%) always override high-priority actions (vault below 40%, expert matching needed), which override medium-priority actions (pending checkpoints, momentum reviews). You’ll only see your single highest-priority action, not a list.

4. Troubleshooting

Issue: SupaSherpa is taking longer than 30 seconds to respond Your query may be complex and routed to the more powerful AI model (Sonnet), which takes 10-15 seconds. If a response exceeds 120 seconds, the system times out and returns a fallback error message. Reload the page and try rephrasing your question more simply. If the issue persists, the platform may be experiencing high load - wait a few minutes and retry. Issue: My conversation history disappeared Conversation history is tied to your authenticated session. If you logged out or your session expired, you may not see previous messages. Log back in with the same account. If your history is still missing, check that you’re using the same browser and haven’t cleared cookies. Each user has exactly one conversation - you cannot accidentally create multiple conversations. Issue: My savings dashboard shows R0 even though I’ve completed milestones Savings are only calculated for specific platform events tied to completed actions. If you created a brief but haven’t enhanced it yet, you won’t see Brief Enhancement savings. If you started a data room but haven’t completed enough sections, you won’t see Data Room savings. Ask SupaSherpa “What milestones have I completed?” to confirm which events should trigger savings. Issue: SupaSherpa says I’m “Drifting” but I’ve been active this week The Activity Consistency dimension looks at login frequency over the past 14 days, not just recent activity. If you were inactive for 10 days and only logged in today, your activity score will still be low. Build consistent engagement over the next week to improve your momentum score. Other dimensions (Brief Completeness, Vault Completeness) may also be pulling your score down - ask “Why is my momentum low?” for a dimension breakdown. Journey Dashboard (/journeydashboard): View your full journey map, all stages, checkpoints, and progress in a visual format. SupaSherpa gives you conversational access to this data - the Journey Dashboard gives you the big-picture view. Use both together to stay oriented and dive deep when needed. Confidence Report (/confidencereport/confidencereport): See the detailed confidence assessment for your brief, including which sections are strong and which need work. When SupaSherpa tells you your brief confidence is 45% and recommends improvement, the Confidence Report shows you exactly where to focus your effort. Data Room List (/dataroomlist): Build and manage your data room (vault) section by section. When SupaSherpa calculates your Vault Completeness dimension at 65%, visit the Data Room List to see which sections are missing and add documents to improve your score.
