Overview

SupaSherpa is your AI-powered guide through the Fiftyknots platform. It aggregates your brief, vault, team, and momentum data into a single conversation interface so you always know where you are in your journey, what to do next, and how much you’ve saved compared to conventional approaches. Every interaction follows four beats: your route position, your momentum score, your #1 next action, and the win you’ve achieved. SupaSherpa keeps you moving forward without navigating multiple dashboards.

Step-by-Step Guide

Using SupaSherpa

  1. Access SupaSherpa
    Navigate to /supasherpa from anywhere in the platform. The chat interface appears with a welcome message and your current position in the journey.
  2. Ask a question in natural language
    Type questions like “Where am I?”, “What should I do?”, or “How am I doing?” into the message box and hit send. Your message appears in the conversation history.
  3. SupaSherpa responds with context
    Within 15 seconds for simple queries, SupaSherpa replies with your current stage, momentum score (0-100), your #1 next action, and a summary of what you’ve saved. The response references your actual platform data - brief confidence, vault completion, team members, and checkpoints.
  4. Review your momentum score
    Ask “How am I doing?” to see your momentum breakdown across six dimensions: Brief Completeness, Vault Completeness, Team Engagement, Milestone Velocity, Confidence Trend, and Activity Consistency. The score classifies your state as Accelerating (75-100), Cruising (50-74), Drifting (25-49), or Stalled (0-24).
  5. Act on your #1 next action
    Every response ends with a single, prioritized action - creating your brief, improving confidence, requesting expert matching, or completing a checkpoint. Click the action link to navigate directly to the relevant page.
  6. Track your savings
    Ask “What have I saved?” to see a running total of time and budget saved compared to conventional approaches. Each milestone you complete adds to your cumulative savings - brief enhancement, spec generation, expert matching, data room setup, and confidence assessment.
  7. Check your team roster
    Ask “Who’s on my team?” to see every person working on your project, including your assigned sherpa and allocated experts. The response shows their current status and activity.
  8. Get ICP-specific advice
    When you ask strategic questions, SupaSherpa tailors guidance to your ICP category. Zero-to-Founder users receive Lean Startup and Customer Development frameworks. Founder-to-Launch users get MVP scoping and launch playbooks. Corporate Innovators see innovation accounting advice. Exit Strategy users get M&A and due diligence guidance.
  9. Receive daily morning briefings (optional)
    Opt in to daily briefings that summarize your momentum, yesterday’s activity, running savings, and your #1 action. Access the latest briefing by asking “Show my morning briefing” or navigating to the notification when it arrives.
  10. Continue the conversation
    Your conversation history persists across sessions. Return anytime to ask follow-up questions. SupaSherpa maintains context across the last 20 messages.

Q: What happens if I ask SupaSherpa a question and I have no brief, no vault, and no journey?
A: SupaSherpa gracefully onboards you with a welcome message and directs you to start the briefing wizard at /wizard/step-1 as your #1 action. You won’t see an error - the assistant adapts to your current state. Q: How is my momentum score calculated?
A: Momentum is a weighted average of six dimensions: Brief Completeness (20%), Vault Completeness (20%), Team Engagement (15%), Milestone Velocity (15%), Confidence Trend (15%), and Activity Consistency (15%). Each dimension scores 0-100 independently. If you haven’t logged in for 14 days, Activity Consistency scores 30 or below, pulling your overall score into “Drifting” territory. Q: How does SupaSherpa decide my #1 next action?
A: SupaSherpa evaluates a priority decision tree. No brief is CRITICAL priority and overrides everything. Brief confidence below 50% is CRITICAL. No vault or vault below 40% is HIGH priority. If your brief confidence is 70% or above and you’re in the CAPTURE stage with no expert allocated, requesting expert matching becomes your HIGH priority action. Pending checkpoints are MEDIUM priority. Higher priority actions always override lower priority actions. Q: Can SupaSherpa give me legal, financial, or tax advice?
A: No. SupaSherpa is scoped to platform guidance and founder journey support. It will not provide legal, financial, or tax advice. For those needs, the platform directs you to appropriate professional resources. Q: How accurate are the savings numbers?
A: All savings benchmarks use conservative ranges based on industry standards. Brief enhancement reflects R75K-R150K saved (lower end of strategy consultant benchmarks). Expert matching reflects R30K-R60K saved. Data room setup reflects R50K-R100K saved. Savings only increase - they never decrease - and each saving event is timestamped and attributed to a specific platform action.

Troubleshooting

Issue: SupaSherpa takes more than 30 seconds to respond
If the AI model times out (over 120 seconds), you’ll receive a fallback error message via the conversation interface. The error is logged in your message history. Try rephrasing your question more simply or breaking it into smaller questions. Complex strategic queries take longer than status checks like “Where am I?” Issue: I sent multiple messages but only the first one got a response
Each message is queued independently and processed sequentially to maintain conversation coherence. If you send three messages in rapid succession, SupaSherpa processes them in order. The second and third responses arrive after the first completes. Wait for the typing indicator to disappear before sending another message. Issue: My momentum score seems stuck even though I completed a milestone
Momentum scores refresh when you interact with SupaSherpa or when the daily briefing runs. If you just completed a vault section or submitted a checkpoint, ask “How am I doing?” to trigger a fresh calculation. Momentum reflects your most recent platform activity across all six dimensions. Issue: SupaSherpa shows data from an old journey, not my current one
SupaSherpa aggregates context from your active journey and active job. If you have multiple jobs, ensure you’re viewing the correct project. Navigate to /journeydashboard to confirm which journey is currently active. SupaSherpa always scopes data to the authenticated user - it never shows data from other founders.
Journey Dashboard (/journeydashboard)
View your entire journey map with all stages, checkpoints, and progress milestones in a visual interface. SupaSherpa surfaces the same journey data conversationally, but the dashboard gives you a bird’s-eye view. Use both together - ask SupaSherpa “Where am I?” to get oriented, then navigate to the dashboard to explore upcoming stages. Data Room (/dataroomlist)
Your data room houses all artifacts, documents, and deliverables generated during your journey. SupaSherpa reports your vault completion percentage and directs you to improve specific sections. The data room is where you actually upload, organize, and review those documents. When SupaSherpa says “Improve your vault,” head to the data room to act on it. The confidence assessment evaluates your brief across strategic, technical, and market dimensions. SupaSherpa includes your confidence score in momentum calculations and flags when your brief confidence drops below 50% (CRITICAL priority). Review the full confidence report to understand which brief sections need strengthening, then return to SupaSherpa for your next action.
