Cabinet Skills via Messaging
Overview
Access specialist advisors directly from your messaging channels. Type/cfo in WhatsApp or Slack to get CFO-grade financial analysis, or send /cto to consult with a technical architect - no need to switch tools or schedule calls. Each of the 22 Cabinet skills brings deep domain expertise into your conversation, backed by frameworks and quality standards that match what you’d expect from a top-tier advisor. Your questions get answered in seconds, grounded in your actual project data and documents.
Step-by-Step Guide
Invoke a Cabinet Skill via Slash Command
- Open your SupaSherpa conversation in WhatsApp, Slack, or the Fiftyknots in-app chat.
-
Type a slash command followed by your question. For example:
/cfo help me model my unit economicsor/cto review my architecture decisions. - Send the message. SupaSherpa detects the skill command, switches to the specialist advisor mode, and responds within seconds.
- Review the response. You’ll get advice in the voice and style of that specialist - a CFO for financial questions, a CTO for technical decisions, a GTM strategist for positioning.
-
Continue the conversation. Ask follow-up questions without re-invoking the command. The specialist persona stays active across multiple messages until you type
done, exit, or let the session idle for 10 minutes.
Invoke a Cabinet Skill via Natural Language
- Describe what you need in plain language. Examples: “I need help positioning my product against competitors” or “How should I structure my cap table for this funding round?”
- Send the message. SupaSherpa’s intent classifier matches your keywords to the most relevant Cabinet skill and activates that advisor.
- Get specialist advice tailored to your question. No need to remember slash commands - just ask naturally.
Email a Cabinet Skill Directly
-
Send an email to the skill’s dedicated address. For example, email
cfo@fiftyknots.comwith your financial modeling question in the body. - Use your registered email address. The system matches your sender email to your Fiftyknots account.
-
Receive a reply from that skill’s email address (e.g., from
cfo@fiftyknots.com) with specialist advice. The response appears as a threaded reply in your inbox. - Reply to continue the conversation. Your follow-up emails maintain the specialist persona and conversation history across the thread.
Switch Between Cabinet Skills
-
Invoke a different skill while in an active Cabinet session. Type
/legal contract reviewwhile you’re in a CFO conversation. - The system switches advisors automatically. Your next response comes from the new specialist - in this case, the Legal advisor.
- Continue with the new advisor until you switch again or exit.

Common Questions
Q: Can Cabinet skills see my project documents and data?Yes. When you invoke a Cabinet skill, the advisor has access to your project brief, vault documents, and current journey stage. For example, if you ask
/cfo to review your financials and you have a financial model uploaded to your vault, the CFO advisor references specific numbers from that document in the response.
Q: How long does a Cabinet session last?Your Cabinet session stays active for 10 minutes of idle time. If you send follow-up messages within that window, the specialist persona continues. After 10 minutes of no activity, the system reverts to standard SupaSherpa mode. You’ll see a brief note: “Your CTO advisory session has ended. Type /cto to start a new one.” Q: What happens if I ask a question that doesn’t match any Cabinet skill?
If your message doesn’t contain a slash command and the natural language classifier can’t confidently match it to a Cabinet skill (confidence threshold below 0.6), SupaSherpa responds in standard generalist mode. No specialist persona is activated. Q: Can I use Cabinet skills if I don’t have an active project?
Yes. The specialist advisor responds using only their domain expertise and generic frameworks. You won’t get project-specific context or vault document references, but you still get specialist-grade advice. Q: Do Cabinet skill emails work if I’m not registered on the platform?
No. When you email a Cabinet skill address from an unrecognized email, the system sends a one-time auto-reply directing you to register or link your email to your Fiftyknots account. No AI processing occurs for unrecognized senders.
Troubleshooting
Issue: I sent/cfo but got a generic SupaSherpa response instead of financial advice. The Cabinet Skills feature may not be enabled on your account yet. This feature is controlled by a platform flag. Reach out to support to check if Cabinet Skills are available for your account tier. Issue: My Cabinet skill email went unanswered.
Verify that you sent the email from the same address registered to your Fiftyknots account. If you’re using a different email, the system won’t match you to a user and won’t process the request. Add that email as a secondary address in your profile settings, or send from your primary registered email. Issue: The specialist advisor gave advice that doesn’t match my project context.
Cabinet skills pull context from your project brief and vault documents. If your brief is outdated or you haven’t uploaded relevant documents, the advisor works with incomplete information. Update your project brief or upload key documents to your vault, then re-invoke the skill. Issue: I asked a follow-up question but the specialist persona disappeared.
If you waited more than 10 minutes between messages, your Cabinet session timed out and reverted to standard SupaSherpa mode. Re-invoke the skill with the slash command (e.g.,
/cfo) to start a new specialist session.
